Insanity...

It is truly INSANE! So a couple weeks back Devin and I committed to doing Insanity. After the first two weeks being a rough start this past week we have really kicked it into high gear and have done great. And when I say we are doing great I mean that we haven't passed out or thrown up yet and have worked out 3 out of 4 days. These seriously have to be some of the hardest workouts we have experienced (and it doesn't help how out of shape we are). But, we are pushing through and finishing them and luckily have some friends who are doing it as well so they help keep us accountable. I am very proud of us! On top of us committing to working out 3-6 times a week we have done a lot better with our diet. I would be lying if I said we don't slip and struggle, but over all we have been following through. This has been a BIG lifestyle change for us and I am very proud of us. I am proud we are being a good example to Cambria and Brayden in eating healthy. It makes us smile to watch Cami try to workout with us. I am happy that because of the decisions we are making now to get healthy and take care of ourselves will help us hopefully live longer and be around for a long time. I love my family and look forward to watching our kids grow up, graduate High School and college, get married and have kids of their own and retiring with Devin and growing old together. A LOT to look forward to in life and feeling very blessed!

Just so you can help keep us accountable too, my goal is to be down to a size 8 and Devin to a size 32 by Christmas. WE CAN DO IT!!

Weekend trip

This past weekend Cambria, Brayden and I took a quick trip down to Marietta, GA to visit one of my best friends Suzanne and her family. We had fun just hanging out by the bomb fire Friday night chatting the night away and catching up. On Saturday we adventured out with just one of her twins and my Godson, James, and Cami and Brayden to the Atlanta Aquarium. It was a lot of fun and the kids loved it! Suz and I have known each other now for a little over 3 years and insantly connected. She has been a great friend and an amazing encourager through a lot of transitions. Suzanne has done a lot for our family and I hope one day to be able to repay her. Her family has also taken our family in like we are their own and are so sweet. Hope she knows how much she means to this family, Love you Suz!!

{Luke and James... cutest twins ever!}

Pumpkin Patch

We absolutely love this time of year! Couple weeks back we decided to go to the Pumpkin Patch out in Springfield with our friends the Reeder's. It was absolutely gorgeous out and we had a blast. Cami really loved the animals (especially the cows) and Brayden of course slept the whole time. They had a corn maze, slides, swings, animal farm, and even a pig race. I have to say the pig race was a first for me and made me realize I was definitely in Tennessee. :) Can't wait to go back next year!

Cami at 18months and Brayden at 3months {8-22-2011}

Couple weeks back we got around to getting Cami and Brayden's pictures done by an amazing photographer {BrittanyWoodPhotography.blogspot.com}. She has done most of Cami's pictures and has done all of Brayden's. We feel very blessed to have two very healthy fun kids and a photographer that was willing to work with us when they weren't being very fun. You're the best Brittany and thank you for being so patient and giving us beautiful memories! Hope you guys enjoy the pictures as much as we do.

Mother/ Daughter Night

Last night Cami and I went to Disney on Ice with one of my good friends Leslie and her little boy. Because the show started so late, Cami was only able to make it until about half way through the show before letting me know she was ready to go home. Seeing her face light up was PRICELESS! She got so excited when she saw Nemo skating around she pointed and went "WOOOW!"  and then said some words I didn't really understand. Totally worth every penny to see her so happy and made for some good mommy/ Cami time. Can't wait until next year when we can take both kids and Cami might be able to last a little bit longer! :-)

Don't ever...

forget to make sure both shoes to an outfit are where your husband can find them, because this is what you get! :) In Devin's defense I still had one of Cami's shoes in my car when he had to dress her the other day to take her to the doc when she was sick. I am proud of him for trying... but oh my! hehe. Good thing he normally does really well at dressing Cami.

Brayden has really taken to eating his evening meal, but one this is for sure... he is ALL boy! He is already full of energy always kicking and flailing his arms/ legs, especially when he gets excited about food. We also cannot believe Brayden is already 4 1/2 months old because he is still so tiny and time just seems to be flying by. Hopefully though now that we are adding cereal and veggies to his menu he will start to pack on the pounds. :-)

Fun weekend

We had another fun busy weekend! Saturday some of our friends that have triplets had their 4th Birthday and so we went to a place called "Pump It Up" and Cami had a blast. Brayden of course slept the whole time. Cami absolutely is an adrenaline junky and wanted to go down the giant slide about 20 times. She was brave enough to even sit beside me and go down "by herself" holding my hand. Crazy brave fun girl! After that another one of our good friends little boy was turning 4 as well so we drove out to Lebanon to say hi and wish him Happy Birthday! Feeling blessed with all our friends and their little ones growing up and being strong and healthy.

We had a bit of a cold front come through so out came the sleep sacks. Both kids looked so cute in them but I forgot to snap a picture of both of them together. This is Cami trying to walk around in it. Pretty funny!

Tonight we tried cereal for the 1st time with Brayden. Needless to say he didn't like it too much, guess we will try again tomorrow! Also, Cami kept on wanting to try it so I let her(as you can see in the 3rd picture) and didn't like it too much either. Wish I had been able to capture her facial expression because it was about as bad as Brayden's! I forgot to mention in the last post about Brayden's 4 month check up. He is in the 25 percentile for weight (12pds 14 oz) and 50 percentile in height (25 inches) and unlike Cami {haha}his head is tiny, 35 percentile. It is really hard to find pants that fit him because he basically needs newborn waists and 6 months length. Guess we will be sticking to a lot of cotton pants this winter!
