We are so excited!

There is no beating around the bush because I think everyone knows now... we are having a GIRL!!! To be honest everyone was telling us we were having a girl, so when they said "It's a girl" we were not suprised. We are SO excited and can't wait for everyone to meet Cambria Faith Zupan! Doctor also said everything looked good with her and she was right one track. As far as me goes though, there is just one small issue with low lying placenta. But doctor said not to worry because it normally corrects itself, and it is pretty common. Just can't do anything strenuous until I go back to the doctor Sept. 10th for another ultrasound. Just please say a little prayer for us! Can't believe we will be 20 weeks on Friday... Cambria is starting to move quit a bit. All it feels like right now is fluttering, so I am sure the kicking will start sooner or later!

We were in Oregon right at 16 weeks, so I forgot to take my "monthly" picture so this one is more like 17 weeks. My mother-in-law gave us a wonderful baby shower while we were there and we received some gorgeous little outfits. It made it so much more real and so much more exciting to be having a baby shower. A little surreal. My father-in-law cooked some wonderful Salmon and Tri-tip and other wonderful friends brought some very yummy food to go with it. Seeing friends we had not seen since last Christmas was a lot of fun, especially playing corn hole!

2 weekends ago mom and dad came up to help us take care of some stuff around the house and visit. We ended up painting Cambria's room, our bedroom, and our bathroom. Bellow is the beginning of the nursery! Dad then helped Devin split up the 90 ft. tree we had taken down at the beginning of the summer and just have not been able to get split up. It took them a VERY long time, but feels so good for it to be done. We have a lot of firewood if anyone needs any!

Devin's parents will be here to visit for the first time in October, so we are getting excited about that. We are thinking about taking them to Ashville, NC to show them the Biltmore Hotel/ Estate and the other sites. The town of Ashville is so cute and we absolutely fell in love with it last year when we visited.

Devin's job is going really well and he is still loving it. I have to brag on him for a minute because about 2 months ago he started doing a dual roll of Recruiter and then Account Manager for Nissan. This past week he got his first start with Nissan as the Account Manager for them! He is working so hard and I am so proud of him. My job is going pretty well, but nothing to exciting. I did just moved onto a different team last month and it went very well. It will be a lot busier then I am use to, but I don't mind at all. Maybe it will make time go by faster with Cambria on the way!

Big Changes

So to start off, and long over due, we had a wonderful trip to Alabama over July 4th with my WHOLE family. It was a lot of fun, and much needed. The last time we were all able to be together was my wedding. It is so much fun to see Austin and Jackson playing and to see all the new things Jake is doing. Just getting to stay up and chat with each other was awesome and very enjoyable.

Also, most of you already know by now, but we are expecting our first child January 29, 2010! We are VERY excited and cannot wait to meet the blessing we are receiving. I go this Thursday for my 12/13 week check up, and we get to hear the heart beat! Well, this won't be the first time due to my car wreck last week we got to hear it at the ER. The heartbeat was racing strong at 165. I will post some pictures later. Thank you for all your prayers so far.

The next couple months are going to be very busy. We have a couple friends getting married, a trip to Oregon, and many other events. I am very excited to see old college friends, who I haven't seen since our wedding 2 years ago. We are also VERY excited for my brother and sister-in-law who are expecting in November. This will be our first niece!

So I hope all is well with everyone. We miss you all and can't wait to see you soon!

Trip to Kansas City

Last weekend I took a little trip to Kansas City, MO to visit one of my closest friends Ashley. Katie (another really good friend) came as well. We had so much fun staying up until 3 am just chatting on Friday night, and Saturday Ash showed us around town (then we stayed up chatting late once again). It is amazing how much you have to talk about when you haven't seen each other in a year! On Sunday before we left, we decided to get Quincy to take some fun pictures. Ashley's husband Quincy is a wonderful photographer! Having this weekend with close friends is something I really needed, and was amazing. Wish we all lived closer, but excited to see them both and at Katie's wedding as well as another friend of ours.
On another note... Over July 4th we are going to Alabama to see my whole family! I am so excited because this will be the first time everyone has been able to be together since my wedding. I always miss my family, so this will be wonderful!
Well, until next time. Have a wonderful day!

First 5k

So I did my first 5k yesterday. My time was 40 minutes and 23 seconds, which means I beat my goal of 45 minutes! For my first time running/ walking a 5k, I am pretty happy with my results. For the next race , my goal is to run the whole thing in about 30 minutes. Which I think I can do now! Jenn, one of my most favorite people in the world, ran the race as well. She did it in 25 minutes and was 7th in her division. Her brother and sister-in-law did it with us as well and did great!

I am finding there are a lot more 5k's out there and want to continue to do more. My dad said he would do one with me... and then Devin said if my dad is doing one he will do it too. Anyone else want to join? :)

Devin just got back from Dallas this morning, where he was at his TekSystems work conference. He had a great time meeting new people from Tek across the country, and learning from the speakers on how to improve himself with his job daily. Devin even got to spend some time talking with the VP of Tek, and received some great compliments (sorry I had to brag on him for a minute). They got to stay at the Gaylord Texan, which was so big they never left the premise! Both Marley and I were very happy to have him home. Marley hasn't been able to leave him alone since he got home because she really missed him, who needs a kid yet when you have a dog that acts like one!

So over all I would say Devin and I have had a great weekend and got a lot accomplished. Hope everyone is doing well and have a great week!

Nothing to exciting

So nothing real exciting happened this past week. We were pretty busy though with church stuff Monday and Wednesday, Devin's softball games, and both us of having to work a lot of over time. We finally got to relax on Friday with some friends and grilled out. Always fun to catch up with friends you haven't seen in a while.

This week is luckily not going to be as busy. But, Devin leaves for Dallas on Thursday for a conference and comes back Sunday. I will miss him, but I am going to keep myself busy. You ask how? Well I just decided today I am going to run a 5k (thanks for pushing me to do it Jenn)! The race helps supports Autism Society of Middle Tennessee and the National Cancer Awareness Day Foundation, so I think that is pretty cool. I have actually done nothing to prepare for it so far, so it should be really interesting (I know you probably think I am crazy, and I probably am). But, hopefully my Zumba and Kickboxing class will pay off a little bit. So, today I started trying to run, didn't make it very far, but I did it... This will be a really good time for me to prove to myself I can do it.

Well I don't have anything more to say, so hope everyone is well and we hope everyone has a blessed upcoming week!

Mom helping plant!

Dad and Devin working on getting the Ivy off the poor tree

The End result!
Last weekend mom and dad came up for Easter. We had a lot of fun on Saturday running some errands and then fixing up our front yard. We planted a couple of new flowers, and hopefully some will come back next year. Sunday we got up and went to church at CrossPoint, where Devin and I have been going for a little over a year. It was a great service celebrating our Risen Savior! We had a wonderful lunch with Devin cooking some pork ribs, I made homemade mash potatoes, and Dad cooked some asparagus. Mom made some wonderful Amish friendship bread as well. It was a wonderful weekend!
This weekend Devin and I went to the Nashville Crawfish Boil where I attempted to eat crawfish... I didn't get very far! We got to see a lot of friends that we haven't been able to see for a while. We also planted some tomatoe plants that mom and dad got us. We can't wait for them to start producing some tomatoes! We got pretty spoiled when we lived in Oregon with fresh tomatoes from Devin's moms plants.
This upcoming week is going to be another busy week with something almost every night. Until next time, hope everyone has a great week!!

Anniversary trip

We just got back from a wonderful anniversary trip to SanDestin, FL. It was short, but well worth it. We left Thursday night in the middle of tornados and storms to drive to Birmingham to drop Marley off with mom and dad and stay the night. They were wonderful enough to keep her for the weekend. The weather was absolutely beatiful all weekend in FL. We just relaxed on the beach Friday, and then and walked around "The Village" (the resorts shopping, restraunt area). Saturday was gorgeous as well... we went on a nice long bike ride in the morning, and then just relaxed the rest of the day on the beach, then went and played a game of putt putt. It was a lot of fun! We decided to go back to "The Village" Saturday night to have a nice suprise... We got to hear The Wailers (minus Bob Marley obviously)!!! It was an awesome trip, and can't wait to go back next year.

Next weekend mom and dad Faith are coming for Easter. We are excited for them to come up! When they are up here we are going to probably re-do our backyard some. It is looking pretty rough right now!

Well, we have a lot going on this month so I am going to be posting more. Hope all is well!
