Our first day wasn't very exciting other then arriving, it took Devin an hour in a half to get the rental due to the place being disorganized, getting IN-N-OUT for lunch, some naps for the kids, and then some pool time. Cami is such a little fish and we are so proud of how she does in the water. We have her water wings and she actually tried swimming some to Devin! It was also nice sitting out on the porch listening to the waves and just chatting the night away. Here are a few pictures from the porch. Brayden was already asleep so he isn't in any pictures. But I am sure we will have plenty of everyone by the end of our trip!

San Diego Day 1
We finally made it to San Diego for our last family vacation before I return to work. Devin has really been missing SD, so instead of going to Florida like we would of done we decided to take on the adventure of a 4 hr plane ride across country. Yes, we were that crazy family on the plane with 2 kids under the age of 2! It's funny though to see peoples faces as we enter a plane with 2 kids and their fear. But its also nice that as soon as the plane ride is over those people complimenting Cami and Brayden for being so good and confessing they were nervous about them being close by. haha.

Visit from Papa and Nini and Breakfast Burritos
Mom and dad decided to make a quick trip up here to Nashville and we had a lot of fun just hanging out. It was pretty crummy weather the whole time, but we adventured out to a Jump House so Cami could get some energy out. It was good to see "Papa and Nini" and Cami and Brayden loved loving on them. Cami at this stage is so fun to watch and see her learning so much even when you don't think she is listening.

So on to breakfast burritos... So since Devin and I are trying to eat healthier and not go out to eat as much we have decided to start cooking breakfast burritos. Just in case your interested we just do eggs, small amount of cheese, diced up tomatoes, crummbled up bacon/ turkey bacon and Salsa. I like to add bell peppers and mushrooms, but Devin doesn't like them so I don't get to put them in a lot of times. The salsa we used today was the homemade salsa I made on Friday and it was the icing on the cake! It makes us feel like we are having a treat even though its not as bad as other places. :-)

Salsa
Tomorrow night we are having a small get together and so I decided to make some salsa. It taste absolutely amazing! Here is a picture of it and below I will tell you how I did it.
Ingrediants: Tomatoes, Jalapenos, Red onion, Lime juice, Vineger, Sea Salt, Cilantro and Garlic
I would say measurements but I never measure. :-) Do to your own liking. I also found out tonight the key to making it slightly chunky/ slighty puree is to add all the ingrediants before blending.
Happy Salsa Making!!

Daily Dose
So now that I am finally caught up on the past 2 months, I decided I am going to start trying to do a daily or every other day blog with pictures, or quotes, or funny stories so I don't forgot things. Here are some pictures from today to start us off :)
Brayden is becoming such a big boy standing in his exersaucer
As you can see Cami thoroughly enjoyed her yogurt today
Science Center
To do something special for Cami before I go back to work in a couple weeks I decided to take Brayden to Susan's (my wonderful friend who will be watching both kids and has been watching Cami this past year) and we had a day just for us. It was so hot outside I decided to do something inside and something we have never done before. So, we went to the Nashville Science Adventure Center close to downtown Nashville. Her two favorite things were the piano board she could walk on and this tube contraption that she could put a ball in and watch the air suck it through the tubes. She was very funny and we had a lot of fun. I am going to miss the kiddos when I go back to work so I am soaking up all the one on one time I can get.
Day at the pool
We are lucky enough to have a friend that has a pool and has invited us to come out a couple times. Cami is absolutely a fish and could stay there all day! She is very brave and likes to jump off the side of the pool and also have Devin throw her up high in the air and catch her. We have a lot of fun summers to come with the kids and the water. This was also Brayden's first time floating around in the pool. He seemed to love it as well and was all smiles.
With the floaties on Cami's arms she actually would let go of us and try to swim some.
Boston in August
Last week we got back from Boston from a wonderful trip visiting my brother and his family. We hung around the house and played Wii, baseball in the yard, made hair clips, watched the kids play outside, ventured to the beach for a day and more importantly for some reason decided to try to go to the outlet mall. After a 30 minute drive turned into an hour we remembered why last year we didn't go and ended up visiting the Patriot's center. Mary Anne did end up finding some cute shoes for Reese and we found a couple items ourself so it made it worth it. And it made for some funny stories. Thanks again for hosting us, we had a blast and made a lot of memories!
These girls were SO funny playing together. They are definitely at a stage right now of learning how to share and sound so much a like it is crazy. I absolutely loved watching them play together!
Brayden needed a place to lay down so we decided to try out the doll Pack-N-Play
Jack and Brayden. Sadly Brayden isn't old enough to play with Jack he discovered, but maybe in a couple years :)
Jack made an awesome robot costume
Blast at the playground
